Hi all, here one of my irregular updates on what's been happening at Gluepot
Reserve.

The Easter-Anzac Day period saw an influx of visitors with lots of birders
visiting either invidivually or through some of the scheduled campouts and
the ABSA scientific day. About 50 people attended the latter and were
presented with interesting talks on Gluepot-related research. Early the next
morning many went out banding or birdwatching.

The Governor of SA, Marjorie Jackson-Nelson visited Gluepot on the 30th
April and was shown around by committee members. She left suitably
impressed, especially after a lucky encounter with a Southern Scrub-robin.

Black-eared Miners are proving a bit elusive, it is thought the drought
might be having an effect on the ease of finding them. Although sightings
continue to trickle in, numbers are down, and it is uncertain whether they
are keeping a low profile, have moved elsewhere, or are slowly perishing.

The website has undergone a major upgrade and now has the latest flora and
fauna lists, new merchandise (including a limited number of prints of a
Gluepot-exclusive Gary Duncan painting) (sorry Russell about the
advertising!!!). I have also added some short video clips for download, and
would be keen to hear from people whether this works properly.
