Hi Birders,
Well a week has past and the Swift Parrots remain in and around my house in Murray St, Bateau Bay. The maximum counted at any one time has been 18, and they continue to feed in flowering Blackbutt and lerps in Blackbutt and Red Bloodwood. Despite my several forays elsewhere in Bateau Bay, and at Budgewoi where they were so common last winter, no other Swift Parrots have been located away from this site as yet.
