****************************************************************
Hello everyone,

As you may be aware, the 2003 Birds Australia Members' Day & AGM will be
held on Saturday 31 May at the Geography Dept, University of Tasmania, with
outings scheduled for the following two days; the campus is approximately
3km from the city centre.

Members of Birds Australia will have received a brochure for the Members'
Day and AGM with Wingspan. The Members' Day is open to non-members of Birds
Australia. The theme of the meeting is 'Threats to, and conservation of
Australasian Birds'. Two keynote and 10 speakers, poster presentations and
the launch of the SE Australian Seabird Atlas will combine to make for an
informative and enjoyable day. In addition, a number of one-day outings
have been organised for the following two days to showcase Tasmania's birds
and their habitats. An informal dinner will be held on the Saturday evening
to close the day.

Please consider this email as an invitation to attend the Members' Day &
AGM, dinner and to participate in the outings.
