Hi Everyone,

On Thursday, April 3, Whimbrel and Pacific Golden Plover were still present
in pre-migration numbers on the Caloundra Sandbanks. Yesterday Barb Dickson,
Rob King and I did a series of high tide roost counts in the Pumicestone
Passage (ranging 20-30km south of Caloundra) and found migrating flocks of
Grey-tailed Tattler and Whimbrel still present.

A pair of Jabiru was feeding at the mouth of Bullock Creek. An Osprey was
installed on the nest at Lime Pocket, that is usually used by the Jabiru.
The Osprey might have just been sitting there admiring the view, but we have
seen them nest there before, when the Jabiru are not nesting, of course.
