Good point, Lindsays. I agree that feral Muscovies are quite big enough
to predate native ducklings - but so are native Musk Ducks (particularly
the male), Cormorants, and large eels. The world is not a safe place for
ducklings.

If the Lake Illawarra Muscovies are newly-released tame birds, it should
not be too difficult to trap them with a suitable bait, and convert them
into a satisfactory meal for humans.
