Hi all

I had a Flame Robin in my garden at Sorrento, Mornington Peninsula, Vic this morning. Every year they arrive from Tasmania at about this time of the year and quickly pass through my area to more appropriate habitat.

Looking back through my records I see that I have noted that:
In 1999 I saw a flame robin at Blairgowrie bay beach on March 31 and one in my garden on April 17.

On March 22, 2000 I saw 3 flame robins on a cliff top at a Blairgowrie ocean beach [Bass Strait]. I assume they had just landed after their journey across Bass Strait.

In 2001 I observed one on a  Rye bay beach on  April 4.

When  looking through past records it always surprises me just how consistent the migrants are.

Cheers
Val
