Cairns to Brisbane and back

Hi all,

Just subscribed to this group. My wife, baby and I are planning to visit
eastern Australia next August, for about 3 weeks. We'll be arriving on
Continental in Cairns, and think of doing a circuit from Cairns to Brisbane
and back in a campervan, hitting good birding spots and some snorkeling areas.

My wife is Peruvian and will be applying for her Australian visa next week.
One of the requirements is a travel itinerary. Anyone on this list who can
send us a basic, provisional itinerary for such circuit?
