Hi all,

Has anyone noticed the exotic female Alexandrine
Parrot about (seen in recent months around Royal Park
and West Brunswick), as one turned up in the Ardeer
area (a Western suburb of Melbourne) at the home of
one of Alan's workmates. It seems he has an aviary
with some parrots and they attracted the other parrot.
It was caught and placed in with the other birds -
it's delighted, but the smaller birds are a bit
uncertain of their new (much larger) friend! Alan and
I are now wondering if this is the same bird we and
others have been seeing around here? Our local Galahs
are still about and the Alexandrine used to hang out
with them at times, but not at present. Has it been
successfully put back where it belongs?
