It appears that several people/groups have visited the ponds at Moonstone Walk over the weekend to search for the Little Bittern, plus other good birds, & others will undoubtedly visit the area in coming days/weeks. This is a plea for enthusiastic birdos to please NOT go tramping through the reeds, rushes, etc. in an endeavour to flush out the bitterns, crakes & other birds. We all need to: (a) keep the welfare of the birds uppermost and (b) not upset the locals who take great pride in their small wetlands. Viewing from the gazebo and the banks is entirely satisfactory. It just takes patience!
