Louise and I were at Bushell's Lagoon near Windsor
on Monday 16 December from 4.30pm until 7.30pm and walked the entire southern
side of the lagoon without finding the Buff-breasted Sandpiper.
We met Robert Fearns (sp?) from Portland,
Victoria who had been there all day. He had located the bird at 8.00am,
watched it briefly, when an over-flying Peregrine put everything up and the
bird was not subsequently found again. Hopefully it did not become the
Peregrine's breakfast! When Robert found the bird, it was about halfway along
the southern bank of the lagoon.
Cheers
