Dear Bird-Aussers,

You might like to watch this item on `Catalyst' on ABC TV Thursday November 14, 8:00pm (Sydney):

"Disappearing Water Birds
This is a story about wetlands in crisis. Waterbird numbers are an excellent barometer for river health and, right now, numbers countrywide are crashing.  We join one of the most extensive and long-running waterbird surveys in the world.

Up to now, the numbers have decreased every year. If the experts are right, the bird numbers will again have dropped dramatically showing that the rivers are in serious decline."

Regards,

Bob
