Hi all

Sightings of interest from the NT this week:
= Grey Wagtail, in a road culvert near Wangi Falls in Litchfield
National Park, 4 Nov.
= Grass Owl, dead after it had become trapped in a barbed wire
fence, Finniss River floodplains at Twin Hills station, north-west of
Litchfield NP, reported on 4 Nov
= Red-necked Avocet, 1 at Buffalo Creek, Darwin, 4 Nov; 2 at
Beatrice Lagoons near Fogg Dam, 7 & 10 Nov.
= Purple Swamphen, 220+, in a mango orchard near Fogg Dam, 10
Nov. An unusually high concentration for up here.
= White-breasted Whistler, female, near Palmerston Sewage
Works, 7 Nov.
= Great-crested Grebe, Katherine; bird had been hit by a car but
was alive and is being cared for. No date, but presumably during
the last week. Very scarce in the Top End.
= Yellow-billed Spoonbills, 8, Alice Springs Sewage Ponds, 2 Nov.
A high number for here.
= Gouldian Finch, 50, Koolpyn Gorge, Kakadu NP, not dated but
approx end October.
= Hooded Parrots, Koolpyn Gorge, Kakadu NP, not dated but
approx end October.

Happy Birding
