A Common Blackbird has been reported at Murdoch University in Perth. It was seen in the southern part of the campus near Farrington Road and the Winthrop Baptist College in a patch of pine trees.

This is very close to Kardinya where a pair were seen last year.

The Common Blackbird is a declared pest in WA and I have reported it to the Agriculture Department. So please keep a close eye out for this species (e.g. if visiting North Lake) and report any further sightings to me, or to Marian Massam at the Agriculture Department (9366 2300).
