Hello all,

I spent this morning doing a spot of bird photography in Binya SF, 20 km east of Griffith. Considering the dry activity the bird activity was fairly high. Painted Honeyeaters have returned in force along with Rainbow Bee-eaters, White-winged Trillers and Grey Fantails. Other birds that I saw this morning included Turquoise Parrot, Diamond Firetail, Double-barred Finch, Yellow-plumed Honeyeater, Western Gerygone and Varied Sittella.

A few weeks ago Malleefowl were reported on the eastern side of Binya SF by forestry workers. I had a bit of a drive around to see if I could fluke one crossing the road but no luck!

Cheers

Mick Todd
