Hi all
Following my short review of Goodfellow's "Birds of Australia's Top
End" (September Wingspan), I've been asked by a few people,
perhaps cheekily, why I didn't feature in the book if I know so much
about birds in the Top End. Simple answer is yes I do, it's just that
Denise used my personal observations without citing their source
or acknowledging their use. I'm not sure why she did that - she
wouldn't say.

Happy birding
Niven
PS A Redshank was reported a couple of days ago in Darwin, first
rarity for our migratory season. Also a suspect small sandpiper
around that needs chasing up. That'll give me something to do for
the next day or so!
