g'Day all

Last week while driving the Connie Sue track from Warburton to Rawlinna
(WA) through the Great Victoria Desert, we spent three days near the
northern margin of the Nullabor Plain near Premier Downs, Seemore Downs
and Kanandah Stations traversing east/west where we could find access
tracks.

It was pleasing to find Naretha Blue Bonnet Parrots (Northiella
narethae) widespread and reasonably common in open Mulga woodlands
across the area. Their density and abundance seemed to be about the
same as those more frequently observed races of Blue Bonnets
(haematogaster and pallescens) that occurs on Eyre Peninsula, the Mallee
areas and Far North of South Australia.

Please contact me direct if anyone wants precise location details
