Birdline Victoria Update No. 90
For the week ending: 15 September, 2002

Spring has sprung around Victoria with sightings of waders such as Sharp-tailed Sandpipers at Edithvale and Red-necked Stints at Banyule.  All of the cuckoos have now been reported and Orioles have returned to near Melbourne.  We may also be seeing the beginning of a migration of arid birds to the wetter fringes of the continent with Short-billed Corellas and Letter-winged Kites in Melbourne's western suburbs.
