Subject: RFI - Neophema parrots, Vict.
A request for information for those peole who have visited western and north
western Victoria.
I am looking at the conservation status of the following Neophema parrots as
they occur in Victoria.
Scarlet-chested Parrot - Neophema splendida
Elegant Parrot - Neophema elegans
I have the 'Atlas of Victorian Wildlife' data which shows there to be no records
of Scarlet-chested Parrots in the state since 1992 but more recent records of
Elegant Parrots (2001).
Would anyone who has records of these two species from Victoria that they have
not forwarded to the Atlas please advise me directly?
I require:
- locality
- numbers
- date of observation
