Hi birders,

I am about to drive from Brisbane to Forbes (leaving 29 Sept), via Narrabri and Dubbo, returning via Wellington and Burrendong Lake, and Lightning Ridge.  Staying overnight in Narrabri, two nights near Coonabarabran, 3 nights in Dubbo, 3 in Forbes, two at Lake Burrendong, and two nights at Lightning Ridge.

I would appreciate any assistance in finding some good birding spots, in particular where I might see some of the more elusive ticks.

I will not be able to walk long distances as I will have my elderly mother with me.   Dubbo Tourist bureau has sent some good information for potential spots around Dubbo, and I will be spending a full day at the Western Plains Zoo.

Unless it is a general interest, please reply privately.

Thanks
Annette Cooke
