Hi all

In view of other recent reports on this list of Budgerigar's approaching
the east coast. Several members of the Illawarra Bird Observers Club
have reported between 6-200 Budgie's in woodland around Goodmans Ford,
which is 50km west of Mittagong or about 120km southwest of Sydney. That
same location also produced up to 6 Hooded Robins, 20+ Diamond firetail
and several Speckled Warler.

This is only the second time Budgies have been observed in the Illawarra
region, with previous occurrences being during the 1895-1903 drought and
in 1972.

Wollongong University has been hosting up to 20 Swift Parrots for the
past month.

A Pacific Baza has made an early return to Balgownie (near Wollongong)
on the weekend, though this seems to be consistent with early return
records from the Sydney region.

cheers
chris
