Hi All,

My thanks to all who responded to my post on Horsfield's Bronze Cuckoos
feeding on the ground. It appears from your replies that HBC's do ground
feed for protracted periods of time when the conditions suit them, i.e. when
suitable food is at ground level and in sufficient quantities to make their
more usual "perch and pounce" technique unnecessary or perhaps too energy
consuming. The suitable food appears to be caterpillars feeding on weeds or
low shrubs.
