Hi Birders,
The following observations have been reported for the Central Coast and Lower Hunter areas, plus a few others and may be worthwhile following up.
 
Penny Drake-Brockman saw a Black-tailed Native Hen at Pambalong Swamp near the causeway on Friday 14/6/02. One was there over Christmas 2000!
 
Neil and Judi Russell on 12/6/02 saw 200+ Swift Parrots around Wyongah/Tuggerawong, east of Wyong, particularly around Tuggerawong Public School, Mullawal Rd & Darri Rds, these birds have been here fo over two weeks. A few Swift parrots were also seen at Canton Beach.
 
40+ Swift Parrots were still present at Wyee Point village and 60+ at Budgewoi Shopping Centre Car Park last Thursday, while 2-300+ are still at the usual sites at Bateau Bay.
 
2 Spotted Quail-thrush and 6 Rock Warblers were seen on the Old Great North Rd, Dharug NP on 15/6/02 at Dharug NP by M. Vesk
 
John Seale and Craig Cassady saw 1 Regent Honeyeater at Bombee Creek, Sawtell 6-16/6/02.
 
Greg Clancy and John Seale have seen 20+ Swift Parrots at Moonee Beach Caravan park 15-16/6/02. Kororo Creek and Moonee beach have hosted Swift parrots at theis time of the year on previous occasions.
 
4+ Regent Honeyeaters were at Wyee Point West on 11/6/02, seen by Don Moon , Alan Morris & others
 
4+ Swift Parrots but no Regent Honeyeaters were seen at Galbaba Pt Res South Swansea on 12/6/02 seen by Alan Morris & Geoff Jones.
 
Australasian Bittern 1 at edge of wetland Enterprise Drive Berkeley Vale 27/5/02 seen by Kevin Butler
