I thought readers may be interested in a report of a Humpback in Western Port Bay off Crib Point yesterday. It is not known whether it has hung around.

Before I go, a quick fluffy bird story. I stepped out to leave the house yesterday and an inquisitive Kookaburra flew down towards the door. I crouched down and the bird continued to hop towards until finally it was close enough to allow me to stroke it. Quite bizarre. Either ill or just friendly!

Regards,

Simon.
