4/6 At Woolooware Wetlands this morning there were 44 Pelicans quite a large
number, Pied Cormorant, 2 Royal Spoonbills and the usual Grey & Chestnut
Teal etc. However there were 2 Pied Oystercatchers and 2 Black- fronted
Dotterels, several Yellow-tailed Black Cockatoos and interestingly a Musk
Duck there this afternoon, no sign of the Great Crested Grebe. At Cape
Solander (Botany Bay NP), we had 2 Pe
egrine Falcons, Horsfield & Fantail
Cuckoos and a Nankeen Kestrel which sat on the cliff edge and watched us
watching the Hump-back Whales! Another lovely day, ocean very calm, not a
good day for sea birds, only saw a few Aust. Gannets. Judi & Neil Russill
