Hi,
Yarra Bend, Melbourne, is currently a good place to see flocked Red-rumped
Parrot at the moment. A flock of 200+ (!) is generally browsing in grass on the
on the left-hand side of YB Rd just before for freeway pass over. This area is
usually a great place to see parrots - although I've never seen so many RRP
before (not to mention Musk L). While riding my bike to work I often pass
through a flock or two of RRP - a very pleasant start to the morning.

Hi everyone/ T Russell,
Red-rumps in my area 40km N/W of beautiful Sydney Town appear to flock out
of the breeding season like many other species. They are a species which
have gained from human disturbance, large numbers frequenting the kikyu
landscapes around factories and
crematoriums.
