Autumnal Migration

Hello all

Well, after my whinge last week about the non-event this year in Sydney's
suburban St Ives,  I think that "Gaia" must be a subscriber to birdingaus
because shortly after the email my share of the migration was augmented by
three Yellowfaced HE's one Grey Fantail and fourteen Red Wattlebirds. They
all arrived on one day and nothing since.It might be significant that the
jump across suburban  Sydney is getting noticeably bigger every year as
exploitation decreases the chance of migrants restoring their energy en
route to more-
congenial locations.
