Greetings from Cape Town,

The answers to the 3 mystery raptors posted to our website at

received the following identifications of the 3 raptors:

Raptor #3:
Tawny Eagle - Aquila rapax
Steppe Eagle - Aquila nipalensis
Lesser Spotted Eagle - Aquila pomarina
Imperial Eagle - Aquila heliaca

Raptor #4:
Dark Chanting Goshawk - Melierax metabates
Pale Chanting Goshawk - Melierax canorus
Gabar Goshawk - Melierax gabar

Raptor #5:
Steppe Buzzard - Buteo buteo vulpinus
Long-legged Buzzard - Buteo rufinus
Jackal Buzzard - Buteo rufofuscus
Wahlberg's Eagle - Aquila wahlbergi

Please have a look at the photos and let us know what you think they are
with your reasons for saying so as well. To find the photos, navigate to
"mystery birds" in the left margin.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Kind Regards
Trevor
