The Laughing Gull was present this afternoon ( Sunday) on the beach behind Buckleys Hole at Bribie Island. When I arrived at around 1.30 pm it was absent , however at about 2.30 it appeared, joining a roost of numerous silver gulls and terns. It was still present when I left about 4.00 pm. A number of birders were around, and went away very happy indeed.
