Laughing Gull

Thanks to Birding-aus and especially to Trevor Ford for posting his sighting of the Laughing Gull at Bribie, I managed to get a look at this bird on the sandspit below Buckley's Hole. The bird was present until  approx. 0620-0630 before flying back up towards the bridge. The gull was on and off the sandspit a few times while I was there and when it wasn't on the spit it was flying just offshore with Silver Gulls. I arrived at about 0555 when the tide was dropping and this spit often has a congregation of terns and gulls
