Hi Aussers,
Have just returned from Penrice Saltfields north of Adelaide. Found an adult Hudsonian Godwit in breeding plumage associating with Grey Plovers. The definitive black underwing pattern was seen clearly. Left the bird undisturbed at sunset.
Field notes were diligently dictated over the mobile phone to my wife at home after forgetting pen and paper!
Nothing like finding your own lifer! and remember, persevere and you shall rejoice!
