Kentish Plovers: thoughts

Hello all,

Could it be possible that at least one of the Oldbar 'Kentish Plovers' is
actually a Malaysian Plover, C. peronii?
If not, why not?

I have had no experience with either species.
I am just trying to think outside the square.
