Hi all,

I don't wish to doubt Edwin's extraordinary report of not just one, but two Kentish Plovers at Old Bar near Taree in NSW. However, since at least two dozen birders have now visited the site in the past fortnight and only reported the one bird, from as recently as early this (Tuesday) morning, it does appear very odd. It is quite possible that all of us have been  caught out, and Edwin has just looked a little more carefully than the rest of us! (Knowing Edwin, I wouldn't be surprised.)

Still, it remains for anyone still planning to twitch these birds to help verify Edwin's sighting. Edwin, could you give further details in the meantime?

Cheers, AS
