I noticed that the woods of Middle Earth were also complete with Willow
Warblers in full song (Phylloscopus trochilus, Palaearctic migrant that
winters in Africa), and that huge condor (?) that sweeps Gandalf away gives
the cry of the (American) Red-tailed Hawk!
