Arrival date for Latham's Snipe

Not really sure where the Edithdale wetlands are, but I had 2 Lathams Snipe on 11th August 1996 at Collieroy Dam at Richmondvale (about 160 km north-west of Sydney). However, I heard from someone, that they often arrive around the first full moon of August, which I think was at the beginning of this month. 
 
By the way, does anyone have any further new regarding Collieroy dam if it is being affected by development?
