There is no record of any shovellers (Australian or Northern) on the Broome bird list which I maintain on their behalf. The Broome Bird Observatory is very keen on adding birds to their list, so I am exceptionally surprised that they haven't asked me to add it to the list.

I will be in Broome in late September / October so I will check with them (and George Swann) about the sighting.

The first pass should be up and running by mid September. There is a small chance that they will change ISPs, or get their own domain name. When the sites are available I will send another message to birding-aus, but in the meantime you can start looking at the information. The main aim is to put the full list (about 50) of country birding brochures online. There are three there already for Lancelin, Donnybrook and Norseman.
