Michael,

I have observed large flocks of these ducks not too far from the location
you have mentioned - on a couple of farm dams just north of Goomeri in the
South Burnett. Time of year was in winter, although I didn't record the
exact date at the time. The dams were partially dry as well, as is often the
case in this part of the world, and the birds were congregated en masse
around the edges. Quite an interesting sight.
