I'm glad you saw such nice birds, Chris - all typical of areas of the
Murray-Mallee that I'm familiar with EXCEPT White-browed Babbler. In the
drier areas (above the floodplain) its Chestnut-crowned Babblers that
are usually commonest. They too have the pale brow. The chestnut crown
isn't always easy to see, unless the sun is shining on the bird's head.
