Visiting Bonnievale (Royal National Park, south of Sydney) yesterday,
Sunday, with a large troop of children in tow, three of us less
excitable ones took a stroll in the woodland just south of the
campsite. It was very quiet birdwise, but we did surprise and have
good, but brief, views of a grey phase Grey Goshawk.
The only Grey Goshawks I have previously seen in the RNP were at the
Waterfall end, and were purest white. Has anybody else experience of
grey phase birds in the area?
