My
sister has recently bought a property on the other side of the road to this lake
and I spent a few days there at Christmas time. They moved in too late to
know much about the way in which tha lake is to be developed. They knew of
the Jacanas and I saw the Babblers and Jacanas and lots of colour marked
trees. I tried to contact their neighbours that live in carvans on the
adjacent paddocks (right next to the lake) but they were never home when I
tried.
So
development is planned but who knows what protection the birds will
receive?
