Hi all, Phillip A Veerman,
Hi Phillip in defence of Sydney bird
watching fraternity your message on the
25-5-01" Where are the long term population studies of Sydney birds" well
Im pleased to say that in 1977 a ten year survey was carried out through
out the County of Cumberland initiated by FOC. a brief summary of this
survey is produced in the Birdwatchers Guide to the Sydney Region by Peter
Roberts. The results of the survey which ended in1988 as not been published
to my knowledge,any takers?
It would be very interesting to undertake the same survey for say the next
five years and should give some of the answers to whether or not species
have declined in Sydney.
I would be willing to run another survey any volunteers?
