Hi all
My father has just spent a few days along the Murray between Echuca
and Swan Hill and has come back with a nice list of species. The one
which I refused to accept was a Grey Falcon at Kow Swamp (is that how
it is spelled?) - not because it's impossible there, but because I
don't think anyone should be allowed to claim a GF in their first
couple of years of birdwatching. (The fact that I haven't seen one
in almost 20 years is irrelevant...)
Anyway, perhaps some of the northern Vic experts like Chris T or
Chris C or Lawrie C might let me know what they think of this one -
and if you are up that way, have a good look out for this species.
By the way, his description was fairly good, as he was able to
observe it for some time as it sat on a powerline. Do GFs do this?
I'd obviously love to be a bit more experienced with this species!
