Spine-tailed swifts

Over the past 2 - 3 years I have not been seeing any Swifts flying over our
home in Sydney's west. Prior, I use to see several hundred on atleast a
weekly basis. The only ones I have been seeing are along the coast. Could
this be due to changing weather patterns in the last few years?
