Pentax 8X42 DCF WP

I am considering buying a pair of   Pentax 8X42 DCF WP binoculars, based mainly
on their write up in "better view desired" suggesting they are barely
distinguishable from much more expensive bins, and mention on birding aus by
chris harrison a while back.  I've not been able to find a shop in melbounre
with them in stock yet.  Has anyone else bought these and what do they think
bearing in mind that they're about half the price of Liecas et al.
