Aren't there more important issues to waste our time on than a few birds per
1000 killed by cannon netting - the insight banding research gives us must
far outweigh this sacrifice anyway.
What about the culling of 1000s of parrots in SA to keep a battling
horticultural industry alive? No outcry about that on this forum! Are we
going to let the pollies and farmers get away with thinking that's fine?
What about continuous landclearing in Qld and NSW? Woodchipping in Vic?
Development encroaching on precious dunes? Overfishing? Oil spills?
Deliberately lit fires threatening endangered species? Too many humans on
this planet? Etc etc etc.
