Michael Norris makes a fair point, I think.

For Outlook Express, bring up your Inbox or Folders page, go to "Tools",
"Options",and then select the "Send" tab.  Make sure the box for "Include
Message in Reply" is NOT ticked.  If it is, untick it (which can be very
hard to do for a birder).  :-)

Incidentally, that is the same area you will find the "signatures" tab, so
that you can put automatically inserted address, message, or whatever at the
bottom of you birder messages (if you wish).
