Fork-tailed swifts were sighted around the front of the Southerly change that hit Central Vic late yesterday (Saturday).  We are approx 40 kms South of Bendigo and saw about 15-20 FTS in a loose group.

Interesting thing was that the group also included approx. 50 other birds.  Smaller, dark, swept wings - I guess Martins or Swallows.  Is it common to have these completely intermingled with the Swifts?

Mike Tarburton, do you have any ideas?
