Hi Everyone, Several people have enquired about the turf farm on the Yarrabah Rd. south of Cairns lately. This turf farm is no longer and is being turned over to sugar cane. It was a great spot for Little Whimbrel, Australian Pratincoles and Yellow Wagtails. The Cairns Crocodile Farm is further down this road and is well worth a visit -- various crakes, bitterns and Little Kingfisher are amongst the birds to be seen here - as well as a few very large crocodiles!
