I stand corrected regarding my original statement about car window stickers
for birding associations. I was not aware that all (or what appears to be
all) clubs/associations have them.
However, I guess these are 'club-specific'. How about the birding movement
generally adopting a pennant, of distinctive design (acceptable to/approved
by all the various clubs/associations) and made of durable material, that
can be affixed to car radio antennas? These would make vehicles more readily
recognisable to other birders (and to the general public).
Perhaps one of the larger 'environmentally conscious' companies would
sponsor it?
Incidentally, do all of the birding clubs/organisations have as one of their
aims/objectives provision for continual lobbying of the appropriate level/s
of government (Federal, State, local) on matters
environmental/conservational/birding?
