A friend of mine who is not 'on-line' raised the issue of the age of the birds.
He considered that the date of the event would
ndicate the birds were part of the non-breeding population. You mention band
recoveries - have there been many? Other than bands,
is there any way to age the birds?

A few more birds washed up this Saturday in Bucks Bay, Carpenter Rocks, SA
