Hi birders

Yesterday (13 October) was the official deadline for registering a team
in the Victorian Twitchathon. The response has been pathetic!

As of 7pm last night we have 4 teams for the Open race and 2 teams for
the Champagne race. Things have improved 100% in the Champagne section,
but have gone backwards in the Open race (given that one 1999 Open team
has splintered into two 2000 teams!).

We will be providing a "Vic Twitchathon 2000" t-shirt to all registered
participants this year. If you're quick enough, you can register in the
next few days and be included.

The Twitchathon is a major funding event for the Birds Australia
VicGroup, and I must say I'm very disappointed at the apathy in the
Victorian birding community that has led to such a small participation
this year.

Get you act together Victorians, and quickly! Race forms are here
